Ellen Valley Riding Club is based in Cumbria and has been established since 2005.
The Ellen Valley Riding Club first became affiliated to British Riding Clubs in 2006 and we cater for all levels of rider offering all our members the chance to train and compete in a friendly and safe environment. We are open to junior members from age 5 as well as senior riders.
The aim of our club is to encourage riding as a sport and recreation, to promote good fellowship amongst riders and to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship. Having fun is the most important thing in everything we do.
We provide something for both riding and non-riding members to help you enjoy riding and being with your horse. We are always open to suggestions and love to try something new.
We hold regular sessions with qualified instructors for a variety of disciplines, these are very popular; whether your interest is showing, dressage, x country we have something for all.
Being based in Cumbria and having members from outside the county too we are based at Murray
House Livery but also use other venues throughout Cumbria.
During the summer months we hold dressage & showing competitions along with pleasure rides in the country and on the beach (always very popular).
The main thing is that everyone has a chance to ‘have a go’.
We are part of BRC Area 3 and over the last few years we have sent teams to Area Competitions for Show jumping, Dressage, Hunter Trials and Endurance. In the Area dressage competition one of our members qualified for National Championships in Lincolnshire and Oxfordshire.
The club is run by a committee of volunteers who meet on a monthly basis. You can find their names on the website under contacts. If you have any questions or would like more information about what we do or becoming a member please give any of them a call or email if you prefer.
We hope to meet you soon.
